A mortgage origination agreement is required to be provided to a borrower and kept in a licensee’s files under Miss. Code Ann. §81-18-33. DocuTech has been providing its own version of such an agreement (Cx3315), however, in keeping with our policy to provide model or official documents where possible, Cx3315 will be updated to match the model mortgage origination agreement published by the Mississippi Department of Banking and Consumer Finance on its website (http://www.dbcf.state.ms.us/mortgage.asp).
Since the original text of Cx3315 is more comprehensive than the model form and may be preferable to some clients, it will be used to create a new “MS Mortgage Origination Agreement” (Cx16158), which may be used to comply with the provisions of §81-18-33 in lieu of the new Cx3315.
These changes will take effect Tuesday, 12/6/2011.
