If the ConformX fields used to populate the “Year or period requested” sections of IRS Forms 4506-T and 4506 (Request for Transcript/Copy of Tax Return) are not set, the first two dates default to the last day of the previous two calendar years. Currently, these two date fields are defaulted to 12/31/2016 and 12/31/2015.
Since the federal income tax return filing deadline is Tuesday of next week:
- “Requested Tax Return 1 End Date” (field 30389) will be updated to default to 12/31/2017
and
- “Requested Tax Return 2 End Date” (field 30390) will be updated to default to 12/31/2016.
These global mapping updates will not modify any custom values set for these fields for specific clients and will not override any imported values.
