Pursuant to the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2019, and VA Circular 26-19-30, Purple Heart recipients can now receive a waiver for the VA Funding Fee. In light of this change, we are making a modification to our ConformX Data Integrity Warning that triggers with the following message:
“The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Funding Fee does not have a value. Please enter this information if a VA Funding Fee is required on this loan.”
Since Purple Heart recipients do not need to be charged a VA Funding Fee, we are altering the logic for the DI check to not trigger if new “VA – Borrower 1 Purple Heart Recipient” (FI 137203) = Yes.
This change is on ConformX Stage servers for testing and will be in effect on Production on January 1, 2020, when the corresponding statutes go into effect. If you have any questions or concerns about this DI check change, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
