Pursuant to our monthly audit of Federal Agency forms and to match the model forms made available through https://apps.irs.gov/app/picklist/list/formsPublications.html/, we will be making the following changes to Cx23:
The IRS has published an updated Form 4506 Request for Copy of Tax Return. Among the changes were an update to the “Caution” section just below section 5 and a reorganization of the Signature of taxpayer(s) section. The fee for each return request has been changed from $50.00 to $43.00. The IRS made significant changes to the General Instructions section on page 2 of Form 4506. They have also updated the Chart for individual returns section to update the “mail to:” addresses and which state or commonwealth is included in each group.
