As we alluded to in a previous post, there have been some questions surrounding the notary block for Indiana security instruments ever since Ind. Code Ann. § 32-21-2-3(a)(1) was amended. After some feedback, in order to more closely match the model forms published by the Indiana Secretary of State (found beginning on page 53 of the Indiana Notary Public Guide at https://inbiz.in.gov/Assets/NotaryGuide.pdf), Docutech has added “Commissioned in ________ County.” to the notary signature blocks on IN security instruments, which includes:
