On February 18, 2021 Gov. Eric Holcomb (R) signed into law IN HB [1056](http://iga.in.gov/legislative/2021/bills/house/1056#document-7663b14f) (2021), which amends Ind. Code Ann. § 32-21-2-3 so that it only requires either an acknowledgement or a proof in order for an instrument to be recorded, as well as outlining what constitutes a “proof” in new *Ibid.* § 32-21-2-1.7. This bill took effect immediately upon passage.

We are currently reviewing this announcement to determine any impact, and evaluating any modifications, to our document library and/or systems. Any modifications we make as a result will be announced on our website.
