If the ConformX fields used to populate the “Year or period requested.” sections of IRS Forms 4506-C “IVES Request for Transcript of Tax Return” and 4506 “Request for Copy of Tax Return” are not set, the first two dates default to the last day of the previous two calendar years. Currently, these two date fields are defaulted to 12/31/2019 and 12/31/2018.
Although the federal income tax return filing deadline was postponed from April 15, 2021 to May 17, 2021 in March, it is possible that many borrowers have already filed for 2020. Therefore, we will be modifying the following:

- “Requested Tax Return 1 End Date” (field 30389) will be updated to default to 12/31/2020.
and

- “Requested Tax Return 2 End Date” (field 30390) will be updated to default to 12/31/2019.
This means the 2020 transcript will be requested by default, even if not yet available. These global mapping updates will not modify any custom values set for these fields for specific clients and will not override any imported values. Other similar “End Date” fields are not defaulted.
