Document Updates: Various Washington Security Instruments

As is common in the mortgage industry, First American Docutech generally provides a “Prepared By” section on security instruments. This section is usually on the front page, but for some states, such as Washington, it prints on the last page. This is because Washington has very specific requirements regarding what can go on the first page.

Since the prepared by section is not required by law and is provided as a courtesy, we have made changes to the Washington security instruments to allow for the removal of the “Prepared By” section by setting Field 61562 “Print Prepared By on Last Page of Recordable Docs” to No.
