In response to VA Circular 26-22-10, United States Space Force Certificate of Eligibility Update, Docutech has added “Space Force” as an option to the following fields:

35814 Borrower 1 VA Branch of Service  
58444 Borrower 2 VA Branch of Service  
63255 VA – Borrower 1 Active Branch of Service 2  
63263 VA – Borrower 1 Reserve Branch of Service 1  
63264 VA – Borrower 1 Reserve Branch of Service 2  
63273 VA – Borrower 1 National Guard Branch of Service  
63274 VA – Borrower 1 National Guard Branch of Service 2  
63298 VA – Borrower 2 Active Branch of Service 2  
63306 VA – Borrower 2 Reserve Branch of Service 1  
63307 VA – Borrower 2 Reserve Branch of Service 2  
63316 VA – Borrower 2 National Guard Branch of Service  
63317 VA – Borrower 2 National Guard Branch of Service 2

“Space Force” has also been added as an option on the following documents;

Cx3953 (VA form 26-8261a) – Request For Certificate Of Veteran Status  
Cx3957 (VA Form 26-1880) – Request for a Certificate of Eligibility  
Cx17072 (VA form SF180) – Request Pertaining to Military Records1  
Cx57 (VA form 26-0286) – VA Loan Summary Sheet2

**Effective Date**

These changes will be in effect on July 30, 2022. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.

##### 1 This form has not yet been updated to include Space Force-specific information in the “categories of service records”, “address list for custodian”, or “self-service website information” sections.

##### 2 This form has not yet been modified by VA to add “Space Force” as a checkbox in section 9, Branch of Service. When Space Force is sent in the appropriate VA Branch of Service field, the “Other” box will be checked, and “Space Force” will print in the area provided.
