As previously announced, we have added English and Spanish translations of the Supplemental Consumer Information Form (SCIF) as will be required by FNMA and FHLMC on March 1, 2023 (Cx23518 and Cx23519). We have added additional functionality to Cx23518 to allow borrowers to mark the appropriate checkboxes during the eSign process. Field “Supplemental Consumer Information Form (SCIF) eSign – Behavior” (155524) is used to control the eSign/field behavior of the document. If the field is set to “eSign” the Borrower will be prompted to eSign the information on the SCIF. The prompts will be optional to meet compliance requirements. If field 155524 is set to “Fields,” only fields from the LOS will be used to populate the SCIF.
Please note that Cx23519 does not support eSign. Like other FNMA documents, the Spanish language SCIF is provided for borrower convenience only, and can not be construed as a contract or any part of the English loan documents (please see the Multi-Language Resources for Lenders page from FNMA).
These changes will be in effect on September 15, 2022. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
