# Document Updates: Cx26687 – VA Request for Certificate of Eligibility

We are making some adjustments to broaden the scope of section 18 “Remarks” sections on Cx26687 VA Request for Certificate of Eligibility. The instructions at the bottom of the form do not have any instructions relating to section 18. The only express instructions on the form are found in Section III for previous VA loans where the form states “IF additional space is needed for all home use Item 18, Remarks or attach a separate sheet”. Originally, we opened Section 18 only if extra space was needed. However, we have now opened Section 18 so that lenders can enter any sort of remark regardless of its relation to Section III.
This change is available for testing and will be effective October 11, 2023. Please direct questions to Client Support at 800.497.3584.

**Update:** The ability to optionally electronically populate section 18 “Remarks” during eSign any time corresponding “VA Borrower x Request for Certificate of Eligibility Remarks” (field 173271 or 173272) is empty has been added to Cx26687 VA Request for Certificate of Eligibility. It will no longer depend on section 13 responses.
This change is available for testing and will be effective October 27, 2023. If you have any questions or concerns about this change, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
