Document Updates: Changes to HUD Important Notice to Homebuyers 92900-B (Cx40) HUD Addendum to Uniform Residential Loan Application Form 92900-A (Cx24442)

Pursuant to our monthly audit of Federal Agency forms our teams found that that HUD Important Notice to Homebuyers 92900-B (Cx40) and HUD Addendum to Uniform Residential Loan Application Form 92900-A (Cx24442) required updates. We are updating the following forms to match the model forms listed on the HUD website.

HUD Addendum to Uniform Residential Loan Application Form 92900-A (Cx24442)

• • Changing the expiration date (12/31/2023) to (10/31/26)
  • Removing the OMB number
  • Footer update: Date from 02/2020 to 04/2023 (backdating was published by HUD)
  • Part II – Borrower Consent for Social Security Administration to Verify Social Security Number
    • Social Security number to referred to as SSN
  • Part III Borrower Notices, Information, and Acknowledgment
    • “Privacy Act Information” has been moved to Part V. Mortgagee’s Certification
  • Part IV – Direct Endorsement Approval for a HUD FHA Insured Mortgage
    • Section A. Underwriting the Borrower & Section B. Underwriting The Property was updated to match the model form
  • Part V. Mortgagee’s Certification
    • Second bullet point has been updated to match model form

HUD Important Notice to Homebuyers 92900-B (Cx40)

    • Removed the Expiration date and the OMB Number from the header
    • Changing “mortgagee” to “Lender”
  • Throughout the body of the document the word “Mortgagee” has been replaced with “Lender”
  • Don’t Commit Loan Fraud
    • spelling, grammatical, and formatting error corrections
    • Letters are changed to bullet points
    • Letter h. was revised to “Do not sign document “blank”
  • Updated language and formatting to match model form
  • Signatures section
    • “Borrower” has been replaced sign “Signature”
  • Privacy Act Notice has been added under signature lines
  • Footer has been updated to
    • Update date has been updated to (10/26)
    • Handbooks 4000.1 has been added

The HUD Addendum to the Uniform Residential Loan Application Form 92900-A model form has removed the parentheses and apostrophes in the field descriptions. We believe this was a formatting oversight and have decided to retain these elements in the updated form of (Cx24442).

In the HUD Important Notice to Homebuyers 92900-B model form (Cx40), the OMB number and expiration date have been removed, which we suspect may be an oversight. Additionally, we noticed that the update date has been updated to 10/26, suggesting that it will be effective in the future. We have reached out to HUD for clarification, but as of the publication of this announcement, we have not received a response to our inquiries. We will continue to monitor these forms for any updates.
