Cx16920 is provided upon request pursuant to R.I. Gen. Laws Ann § 44-30-71.3 and 280 R.I. Code R. §§ 20-10-1.7(H), 20-10-1.8(B), 20-10-1.10, 20-10-1.12(D). The document is based on the following forms published by the Rhode Island Division of Taxation on their [website](https://tax.ri.gov/forms/individual-tax-forms/nonresident-real-estate-withholding-forms):

- - Instructions for Sale of Rhode Island Real Estate by Nonresidents Form
    - Remittance and Acknowledgement Combination Form

We have updated Cx16920 to match the latest versions of these forms. Along with minor edits to formatting throughout, the following changes were also made:

- - Instructions were updated to match the instructions on the Rhode Island Division of Taxation form.
    - The option to add an email in the return to section
    - Dates have been updated to reflect the dates on the model forms

These changes are available for testing on Stage and Stage 2 servers and will take effect on May 6, 2025. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
