Per N.C.G.S.A. § 45A-4(b), “. . . the settlement agent shall place an entry on page 1 of the deed of trust showing the name of the mortgage broker or other person that acted as a mortgage broker in the origination of the loan.”
To ensure that the mortgage broker name always prints on the first page of North Carolina security instruments, directly above the area designated as “[Space Above This Line For Recording Data]”, Docutech has included the sentence, “The name of the Mortgage Broker is [FI 7029 - Broker Name].” This will only print when FI 40728 - Is this a broker originated loan? = Yes.

Cx26151 FHA NC Deed of Trust 2021
Cx494 NC Deed of Trust Second
Cx1395 HELOC Deed of Trust - NC
Additionally, minor formatting updates have been made to the first pages of Cx494 and Cx1395 for a consistency in appearance with Cx25312 and Cx26151.
