Document Updates: Construction Versions of California Security Instruments (Cx25283, Cx26120 & Cx471)

To help meet certain recording requirements, we updated the construction versions of three California security instruments:

Cx25283 3005 CA Deed of Trust 2021

• If Field 60136 ("Loan Proceeds Used for Construction or Repair/Remodeling") = Yes, the document title will read: "Construction Deed of Trust" (replacing "Construction Trust Deed")

 Cx26120 FHA CA Deed of Trust 2021 

• If Field 60136 = Yes, the document title will read: "Construction Deed of Trust" (replacing "Construction Trust Deed").
• If Field 60136 = Yes, the footer will read: "FHA California Construction Deed of Trust".
  

 Cx471 CA Deed of Trust Second 

• If Field 60136 = Yes, the document title will read: "Construction Deed of Trust" (replacing "Construction Trust Deed").
• If Field 60136 = Yes, the first-paragraph text "THIS DEED OF TRUST . . ." will read: "THIS CONSTRUCTION DEED OF TRUST ("Deed of Trust") . . ."
• If Field 60136 = Yes, the footer will read: "CALIFORNIA - SECOND DEED OF TRUST (CONSTRUCTION)".
• For all versions of Cx471, “Deed of Trust Will be Recorded in Second Lien Position” will print beneath the title “Deed of Trust/Construction Deed of Trust”.
