CA Loan Commitment (Cx16083) and MT Loan Commitment (Cx15517)

Topics: Document Updates

Pursuant to California Financial Code § 50203(a)(4)(A) and Montana Code Annotated § 32-9-148(3)(d), a loan commitment must be in writing and signed by both the borrower and the licensee (in California) or the mortgage lender (in Montana).

Previously, CA Loan Commitment (Cx16083) and MT Loan Commitment (Cx15517) included an ink sign signature area for the Underwriter Name (FI 8224). Both documents have been updated to use Loan Officers Name (FI 1057) for the signature and will allow for eSign. While the default lender signature line coding has been updated, existing custom coding will continue to be honored.

These changes are available for testing on Stage & Stage 2 servers and will take effect on September 23, 2025. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
