# Document Updates: Cx28947 Affixation Affidavit

Indiana Code 36-2-11(d) requires that any instrument submitted for recording or filing include an affirmation stating that all Social Security numbers have been redacted, unless otherwise required by law. The required statement is:
“I affirm, under the penalties for perjury, that I have taken reasonable care to redact each Social Security number in this document, unless required by law.”
This statement has been added to the end of the Cx28947 Affixation Affidavit.
It is available for testing on Stage & Stage 2 servers and will take effect on June 2, 2026. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
