We’ve modified how the “Non-Permanent Resident Alien” radio button is selected for Citizenship on 1003 Uniform Residential Loan Application 1/2021 (Cx20667) and Spanish Translation Aid 1003 Uniform Residential Loan Application 1/2021 (Cx20668).
Previously, “Non-Permanent Resident Alien” would be selected for the borrower when the corresponding "Borrower [x] Permanent Resident/Qualified Alien Status" field was set to either "Not a Permanent Resident or Qualified Alien" or "Foreign National”. Going forward, the button will only be selected when the "Borrower [x] Resident Alien Type" is set to “Non-Permanent Resident Alien.”
Fields
Both sets of fields share the same MISMO CitizenshipResidencyType import xPath for each borrower:
Borrower 1 Permanent Resident/Qualified Alien Status (FI 49930)
Borrower 1 Resident Alien Type (FI 187448)
Borrower 2 Permanent Resident/Qualified Alien Status (FI 49934)
Borrower 2 Resident Alien Type (FI 187449)
Borrower 3 Permanent Resident/Qualified Alien Status (FI 49939)
Borrower 3 Resident Alien Type (FI 187450)
Borrower 4 Permanent Resident/Qualified Alien Status (FI 49944)
Borrower 4 Resident Alien Type (FI 187451)
Option Selection
The “USCitizen” standard MISMO enumeration will continue to mark “U.S. Citizen” for Citizenship on the 1003, and “PermanentResidentAlien” will continue to mark “Permanent Resident Alien”.
Previously the enumerations “NonPermanentResidentAlien”, “NonResidentAlien” and “ForeignNational” marked “Non-Permanent Resident Alien” for Citizenship on the 1003. After the update, only “NonPermanentResidentAlien” will mark “Non-Permanent Resident Alien”. No Citizenship selection will be made for “NonResidentAlien” or “ForeignNational”.
Deployment
Although no additional data points are required to be sent, clients may want to test to confirm the updated behavior.
This change is available for testing on Stage & Stage 2 servers and will take effect on December 9, 2025. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
