We have modified the HUD Addendum to Uniform Residential Loan Application Form 92900-A (First American Docutech Cx24442) which was set to mask social security numbers down to 4 digits in “Part II – Borrower Consent for Social Security Administration to Verify Social Security Number.” In the past, we decided to mask the social security numbers due to privacy concerns. However, we have not found any guidance from HUD that directs to mask the full social security number. Therefore, we will be adjusting our default logic on the document to display the full social security number on part II of the addendum. Any clients that would like to continue to mask the social security number after this change will need to work with their Client Success Managers.
