Document Updates: HELOC Mortgage – NM (Cx1365)

Written by Tambree Knight | Sep 20, 2022 7:00:00 AM

We are removing the default witness signature lines from appearing on our standard New Mexico HELOC Mortgage (Cx1365).  After research and review, we have been unable to locate a legal requirement for witness signature lines for New Mexico security instruments.  The GSE Uniform Instruments do include the witness signature lines, however, their instructions indicate they “may” be removed. Accordingly, we are removing fields (FI 15416 “Witness 1 Full Name” and FI 15417 “Witness 2 Full Name”) so the witness signature lines will no longer print by default. Now Cx1365 will match the current witness signature line functionality of our other New Mexico security instruments.

This change will be in effect on September 27, 2022. If you have any questions or concerns about this change, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
