The State of Colorado allows for the use of electronic notarization. CRSA §24-21-520(3) requires the signature of the notary public to contain the following elements:

The Colorado State Notary Handbook does not add any specific requirements but does provide for sample form.
We are adding form fill functionality to the notary block that will allow the notary to input their identification number and document authentication number. This functionality will be allowed when the field “Security Instrument Notary Type of Presence” (FI 137249) equals ‘IPEN’ or electronic notarization* is sent in the data file.
