New Document: Louisiana Documentary Transaction Tax Affidavit (Cx26347)

Code of the City of New Orleans, Louisiana Section 150-391(1)(c) requires for a mortgage of a single-family residence or residential double that exceeds 25 pages, a notarized statement stating that the property is a single-family residence or a residential double.  The language of the code reads:

“If a sale or mortgage of a single-family residence or residential double exceeds 25 pages, a notarized statement stating that the property is a single-family residence or residential double shall be required.”

We have created new document “LA Documentary Transaction Tax Affidavit” (Cx26347) to comply with Section 150-391(1)(c).  We have also created a new field associated with this document called “Print Documentary Transaction Tax Affidavit” (Field 156902).

“Print Documentary Transaction Tax Affidavit” will be set to “Yes” for Louisiana by a global standard value mapping when “IMPORTED – Number of pages to be recorded” (Field 138864) is greater than 25.

New document “LA Documentary Transaction Tax Affidavit” will print in Louisiana Closing packages when:

• • “Print Documentary Transaction Tax Affidavit” is set to “Yes”;
  • “Occupancy” is “Primary Residence”; and
  • “Property Number of Units” is set to “One Unit” or “Two Units”.
