Document Updates: “Non-Permanent Resident Alien” Selection on 1003 Uniform Residential Loan Application 1/2021 (Cx20667 and Cx20668)
Jun 17, 2025
The ability to support up to ten requests of IRS Form 8821 Tax Information Authorization per borrower has been added to ConformX. Fields specific to each borrower to trigger and populate each request copy are now available.
New 8821 Print Trigger
New field “Print 8821 Tax Information Authorization” (FI 193600) is now available to trigger the form to print. Previously 8821 Tax Information Authorization (Cx801) was assigned upon request and printed in Initial Disclosure, Processing, and Closing document packages when “Borrower Self Employed Indicator” (FI 20155) was “Yes”. Now 8821 Tax Information Authorization will be supported as a generic document and will print when new field “Print 8821 Tax Information Authorization” (FI 193600) is set to “Yes”.
New 8821 Fields
New sets of fields are now available to populate every section of the form per borrower, for each request copy:
These new fields will allow the form to print and populate without the need for custom hardcoded text or logic inside the document. The current loan-level Form 8821 fields will continue to populate on the document as they do today unless the new fields are set.
Solex Compatible
The 8821 Tax Information Authorization body is populated by fields by default and can be signed by the borrower electronically in Solex. Similar to the IRS Form 4506-C, there is a box on Form 8821 that must be checked by the borrower by ink or eSign. This checkbox must not be set ahead of time and reads, “By checking here, I authorize access to my IRS records via an Intermediate Service Provider.”
New Multi-Doc Collection (MDC)
New “Print Borrower [Borrower Number] 8821 Request [Request Number]” indicator fields control which request copies print for each borrower. Up to ten request copies per borrower are supported, with new fields populating each request copy as outlined above.
The new 8821 Borrower Requests MDC will honor these new fields. If the indicator is set to “Yes”, the corresponding copy will print for that Borrower. If the indicator is set to “No”, the corresponding copy will not print. If the first indicator “Print Borrower [Borrower Number] 8821 Request 1” for a borrower is not set, it will default to “Yes”. This means one copy of the document will continue to print for each borrower by default.
Deployment
These updates are available for testing on Stage & Stage 2 servers and will be in effect on June 24, 2025. Clients who already print Cx801 will continue to receive the document as they do currently. A list of the new data fields were provided to our third-party integration partners earlier this week. If you would like to set the new data fields to populate 8821 Tax Information Authorization, would like to set up the document to be populated by the borrower during eSign, or have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact your Client Relationship Manager or Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
