Nebraska has enacted Neb. Rev. Stat. Ann. §§ 45-345(5)(a) and 45-737(11)(a), which require a net tangible benefit worksheet in connection with “any refinance of an existing installment loan” and “any refinance of an existing residential mortgage loan.” The disclosure must be provided on a form prescribed by the Director of the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance or on a form that is substantially similar thereto (see Neb. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 45-345(5)(a)).
The foregoing statutory provisions become effective three calendar months after adjournment of the legislative session. The 2026 Nebraska legislative session adjourned on April 17, 2026; accordingly, these provisions become effective on July 18, 2026.
