Telecommute program expected to save more than 100 metric tons of carbon monoxide exhaust per year
In a move to bring more environmentally sustainable practices to the mortgage industry, DocuTech, has implemented a virtual support center in Southern California. The support center enables all of the staff to telecommute remotely from home offices while providing the high quality of support DocuTech has built its reputation on.
According to estimates from the California Air Resources Board, by moving the entire office to a telecommute-based practice, DocuTech will eliminate more than 100 metric tons of carbon monoxide pollution each year.
“For the past decade, we have been helping our clients have a smaller environmental footprint by embracing digital mortgage documents, eliminating the need to print and store hundreds of thousands of sheets of paper each year,” said Scott K. Stucky, chief operating officer for DocuTech. “Now we’re expanding our own commitment to reducing the strain on local infrastructure by moving our Southern California support staff to home-based offices.”
DocuTech’s flagship software, ConformX, enables mortgage lenders to generate mortgage documents from any Internet connection. The software automatically creates guaranteed compliant mortgage documents and delivers precision loan packages. ConformX supports electronic documents in all phases of the loan process – eDisclosures, eDocs, eSignature and eFiling – ensuring that lenders always have the choice to originate and close a paperless mortgage. DocuTech’s automated document compliance system drastically lowers document costs and reduces the time spent maintaining a library of compliant documents by creating dynamic documents that fit each individual loan’s specific needs.
Since ConformX enables lenders to generate compliant documents from any Internet connection, lenders may also benefit from full or part-time virtual offices.
