Mortgage Banking Industry Leadership Roundtable with Governor Mitt Romney

Governor Romney had asked Mr. Jenkins to host the Mortgage Banking Industry Leadership Roundtable, which consisted of a geographically- diverse group of 25 mortgage bankers that met in Costa Mesa, Calif. Roundtable participants shared their thoughts, experiences and concerns with presidential candidate Mitt Romney on the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the future of government-sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Topics ranged from the future of Fannie Mae to the impact of proposed regulations, such as Qualified Mortgage (QM) standards.
