The California Fair Lending notice is governed by Cal. Code Regs. tit. 21, §7114, which sets forth which addresses print on the notice based on the providing institution’s license type. Under the regulation, three addresses are listed for the Department of Corporations. Per instruction from the senior examiner at the California Department of Corporations, complaints regarding fair lending violations are received at only one address, which is the only address that should be listed on the Fair Lending Notice. Cx16170 and Cx991 have been modified to list only the current address where complaints are received to be compliant with instruction from the Department of Corporations.
These changes will take effect on December 7th, 2012. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
