Combined Form HUD-92544 and VA Form 26-1859 is required under a slew of different laws, regulations, and rules, including (but not limited to) 24 CFR § 203.14; FHA Single Family Handbook 4145.1 REV-2, CHG-1, ch. 3-3; 38 USCA § 3705; 38 CFR §§ 36.4367 & 36.4525; and VA Lender’s Handbook, ch. 10.08, 10.09, & 13.06.
The form is a warranty executed by the builder who will perform construction work on the subject property. Our duplicate of this combined form is Cx47.
Currently, we are printing this document by default on legal-sized paper and the signature lines are similar to the ones used in all of our other documents, rather than the boxed signature lines that appear on the official forms. This has been done due to spacing and configuration issues which have, in the past, prevented us from providing the form in a format that is more consistent with the official form.
We are pleased to announce that these issues have been resolved and that we will now be printing the form on letter-sized paper (by default) and that the signature area will match the official form, with the exception that our document will extend the signature boxes to allow for more than two borrowers if needed.
