This document is required under W. Va. Code Ann. § 46A-2-104 to be provided to cosigners of consumer loans, before any loan instrument is signed, and it contains statutorily-prescribed language.
Pursuant to our yearly audit of state disclosures, we will be modifying Cx1018 in the following ways:
- Revising the last sentence in the first paragraph, to make the language match the statutorily-prescribed language.
- Modifying the signature lines so that only ones applicable to borrowers who are set as “Cosigners” will print.
- Changing the print conditions for the document, so that rather than having it print when “Multiple Borrower Indicator” equals “Yes”, it will now print when “Has Cosigner on Loan” equals “Yes” (among other conditions).
