While Pennsylvania does not require a specific font size for recordable documents, it has been brought to our attention that Washington County in Pennsylvania will no longer accept documents for recording with a font size smaller than 12 point after January 31, 2015. To decrease recording costs as much as possible, we had the Washington County Recorder’s Office review some documents in 11 point font, and the Office informed us in writing that they were acceptable for recording. In light of this approval to use 11 point font, the following documents have been modified to print with 11 point font for subject properties located in Washington County:
PA Mortgage (Cx347)
PA Mortgage FHA (Cx400)
PA Mortgage Second (Cx505)
HELOC Mortgage – PA (Cx1348)
PA Assignment of Mortgage (Cx1585)
PA Assignment from MERS (Cx4344)
PA Assignment – INV BLANK (Cx4507)
PA Housing – Mortgage Modification Agreement (Cx4360)
PA Housing – Assignment of Mortgage (Cx6958)
PA Housing – Keystone Advantage Loan Subordinate Mortgage (Cx6981)
PA Housing – Subordinate Mortgage (Cx16478)
PA Housing – Assignment of Mortgage from MERS (Cx19077)
Subject properties for other counties in Pennsylvania will continue to print with the same font size and format they have been.
