The California Fair Lending Notice is governed by Cal. Code Regs. tit. 21, § 7114, which sets forth which address print on the Notice based on the providing institution’s license type. Under the regulation, five address are listed for the Department of Business Oversight (DBO). Per instructions received from the senior examiner at the California DBO, we are consolidating our addresses on the Fair Lending Notice to a single address where complaints regarding fair lending violations are now being received. Six years ago the Department of Corporations and the Department of Financial Institutions merged to form the Department of Business Operations, and the CA DBO has since centralized the consumer complaint function in Sacramento, CA. Our standard copies of the California Fair Lending Notice, Cx16170 and Cx991, will be modified to list the consumer complaint address as:
