In a previous announcement, we updated our Vermont Security Instruments to add a notary witness line due to the inclusion of FNMA Instruction No. 10, which stated: “Lenders MUST have the notary sign the blank that appears to the left of the second Borrower signature line on Page 16.”
However, FNMA recently updated the Instructions for their Vermont first lien Security Instrument (FNMA 3046). In the update they removed Instruction No. 10 entirely. Consequently, we will be removing the notary witness line on our Vermont Security Instruments and print witness lines as shown on the FNMA model form. The forms impacted by this change are:
- Cx356 – VT Mortgage
- Cx409 – VT Mortgage FHA
- Cx513 – VT Mortgage Second
- Cx19403 – FHA VT Mortgage
