The Home Loan Toolkit, required for TRID loans, is provided by the CFPB. Lenders doing non-TRID loans still need to supply Settlement Costs booklets, which are available from HUD. Consequently, references to the Toolkit or Settlement Costs booklets should cite availability from the appropriate agency. With this in mind, Docutech is updating our South Carolina Mortgage Broker Fee Agreement for Financial Services (Cx3525). For TRID loans, the document will now give appropriate references to the CFPB-provided Toolkit on the Borrower’s Rights page. The update will also include updated web addresses for the Toolkit and Settlement Costs booklets, as well as a phone number for the CFPB.
These changes will be effective on January 12, 2017. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
