Docutech has changed the manner in which the “Joint Credit” signature lines are enabled for electronic signing on the top of page one of the Uniform Residential Loan Application, Fannie Mae Form 1003, Docutech form Cx4193. Previously, Docutech utilized data points from the document to determine when these signature lines should be enabled. These signature lines will now be enabled based on whether there are multiple Borrowers on the loan.
When there are multiple Borrowers on the loan:
- The “Borrower” signature line will be enabled on that Borrower’s respective 1003;
- In addition, the “Co-Borrower” signature line will be enabled on the 1003 containing that Co-Borrower’s information when the corresponding field indicates that the Borrower and a Co-Borrower are completing the Application jointly (Fields 27252, 27253, 27254, and 27255).
The following standard documents have been updated:
- 1003 Uniform Residential Loan Application (Cx4193)
- 1003 Uniform Residential Loan Application Bilingual (Cx17663)
