Last year, now-former Gov. Jerry Brown (D) signed into law “The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018” (“CCPA”), which is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2020. On October 11, 2019 the California Secretary of State’s office assigned Legislative Chapter numbers to the following five amendments to the CCPA, indicating that they have all become law:

In general, these bills will take effect on January 1, 2020. In addition to these amendments, the California Attorney General’s office recently issued proposed regulations implementing the CCPA (available at: https://oag.ca.gov/privacy/ccpa).
