Document Updates: Fixed Rate Note Alaska Second (Cx1032)

May 1, 2020

Topics: Document Updates

Currently, our standard fixed, junior lien note for loans secured by real property located in Alaska discloses the borrower’s post office address towards the beginning of the document, in addition to the property address.

After a thorough review of Alaska’s laws, it has been determined that it is not necessary for the promissory note to list the mailing address of the borrower (such information is required for recording purposes under Alaska Stat. §§ 40.17.030[a][7] & [a][8], but the promissory note is not recorded). As a result, we will be removing this information from Cx1032.

This change will take effect on May 7, 2020. Questions or concerns about this change may be directed to Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
