Document Retirement: MA Deferment of Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Installations (Cx23809)

Jul 10, 2020

Topics: Document Updates

On March 20, 2020 Gov. Charlie Baker (R-MA) issued COVID-19 Order No. 12, which permitted the conditional deferrals of certain inspections on home safety equipment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. On June 26, 2020 Gov. Baker signed COVID-19 Order No. 41, which rescinds Order No. 12 effective July 10, 2020 (both orders are available at: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-state-of-emergency). Additional details about the effect of this rescission can be found on the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services’ website (https://www.mass.gov/service-details/preparing-your-home-for-a-smoke-and-co-alarm-inspection).

We created Cx23809 as an “upon request” document for Order No. 12. Now that this Order is rescinded, Cx23809 can no longer be used and we will be unassigning this document for clients who have had it assigned.
