If the ConformX fields used to populate the “Year or period requested” sections of IRS Forms 4506-C “IVES Request for Transcript of Tax Return” and 4506 “Request for Copy of Tax Return” are not set, the first two dates default to the last day of the previous two calendar years. These two date fields are currently defaulted to 12/31/2020 and 12/31/2019.
Since the federal income tax return filing deadline of April 18, 2022, has arrived:
- “Requested Tax Return 1 End Date” (field 30389) has been updated to default to 12/31/2021 and
- “Requested Tax Return 2 End Date” (field 30390) has been updated to default to 12/31/2020.
These global mapping updates will not modify any custom values set for these fields for specific clients and will not override any imported values. Other similar “End Date” fields are not globally defaulted.
These changes are currently available for testing on ConformX Stage 1 and Stage 2 and will take effect on Production April 26, 2022. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
