Document Update: MT Acknowledgment that Real Property is Not Exempt From Execution (Cx1412)
Nov 29, 2022
According to Indiana’s Notary Public Guide, a certificate from a notary must include “the notary’s printed name, county of residence and commission expiration date.” Currently, Indiana’s notarial seal is using field 1818, Security Instrument Notary County, which populates the county from the security instrument. A notary public could potentially live in a different county than the property county of the security instrument. Because of this fact, we have updated Indiana’s recordable documents to use the field 15396, Security Instrument Notary ‘Residing at’. If no data is sent for field 15396, a blank line will populate for the notary’s commission county.
This change affects the Indiana version of the following documents:
The change will be in effect on December 6, 2022. If you have any questions or concerns about this change, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
