As previously announced , the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) issued a rule making several non-substantive corrections and updates to federal agency contact information found in various regulations. These changes affect address information provided to consumers under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act Summary of Consumer Rights.
This rule was effective April 19, 2023, however, for the amendments to Appendix A to Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act) and Appendix K to Regulation V (Fair Credit Reporting Act), the mandatory compliance date is March 20, 2024.
