Document Updates: DC Real Property Recordation and Transfer Tax Form FP-7/C (Cx2485)

According to DC Municipal Regs. Tit. 9 § 335, an application for exemption from real property tax is to be made at the time a deed that transfers real property is presented for recordation. The DC Office of Tax and Revenue publishes a model form. Our Cx2485 is mirrored after the DC model form. DC has updated their form and so we have similarly updated our Cx2485. The changes are:

• We have added 4 pages of instructions.
• The Square, Suffix, and Lot section in the upper right corner of page 2-5 has been removed.
• The Property Use section on Page 1 removed questions about commercial properties.
• The Commercial deeds and nonexempt security interest instruments language and number 7-19 have been removed in Part I: Computation of Tax section.
