# Document Updates: Loan Purpose on the FHA Loan Underwriting and Transmittal Summary (Cx13513)

The FHA Loan Underwriting and Transmittal Summary is used to summarize key information utilized in the comprehensive risk assessment of the mortgage loan and the final underwriting decision. We have made slight logic adjustments to the Loan Purpose section on our copies of this form (Cx13513 and Cx15849). The form states to “Check all that apply” and lists several loan purpose types. We have adjusted the fields to accommodate individually selecting the enumerations “Energy Efficient Mortgage”, “Building On Own Land”, and “HUD REO” by using the fields 67419 “Energy Efficient Mortgage”, 185878 “Building On Own Land”, and 185879 “HUD REO Status”, respectively, instead of selecting only one of the options for field 41674 “FHA/VA Additional Loan Purposes”. Field 41674 can still be used if desired; no changes will occur unless the individual fields above are populated instead of field 41674.
These changes are available for testing on Stage and Stage 2 servers and will take effect on February 2, 2024. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
