With Docutech’s ongoing effort to make all generic documents in its library electronically signable, Cx3846 “Right to Choose Attorney” and Cx1097 “IL Right to Choose Title Insurance” are now available with a generic option for eSign.
In addition to the eSign option, Cx3846 “Right to Choose Attorney” has had a new “choice” field created which is Field 187887 “Enable Each Borrower to Choose Their Own Attorney.” This allows for multiple borrowers to choose separate attorneys, if they wish. All borrower signatures will continue to remain on one copy of Cx3846 with the default being only one attorney check box section with all of the borrower signatures following beneath. But if Field 187887 is set to “Yes,” the attorney check box section will repeatedly print above each borrower’s signature on the same copy of Cx3846.
Cx1097 “IL Right to Choose Title Insurance” has not had a new “choice” field created for it. All borrower signatures will continue to remain on one copy of Cx1097. When Cx1097 is eSigned, the first borrower to interact with the document will populate the title insurer information, as needed.
