According to Louisiana Civil Code Article 2347, the concurrences of both spouses is required for the lamination, encumbrance, or lease of community property immovables, if they are issued or registered in the names of the spouses jointly. Our Louisiana HELOC Mortgage – LA (Cx1356) contains a spousal provision that complies with Article 2347. We have updated this provision to be more consistent with the FNMA model form.
These changes are available for testing on Stage & Stage 2 servers and will take effect on June 17, 2025. If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
