Document Updates: Virginia Instrument Notary Logic

The Virginia notary handbook states that “Every effort should be made for notarial statement to be on the same page as the signature being notarized, however, if they are on different pages, the notarial statement must include the name of the person whose signature is being notarized.” Also, we have received guidance from several counties that the notary block cannot be split between two pages. Due to this guidance, we have made logic updates to the Virginia instruments to ensure that the entire notary block is on the same page.

The instruments are:
-Cx25326 (VA Deed of Trust 2021
-Cx1552 (VA Assignment of Deed of Trust)
-Cx4352 (VA Assignment from MERS)
-Cx512 (VA Deed of Trust Second)
-Cx1335 (HELOC Deed of Trust)
-Cx26164 (FHA VA Deed of Trust 2021)
-Cx4510 (VA assignment)
