DocuTech has added Illinois Interpreter Form (Cx20077) to our document library to comply with 851 Ill. Comp, Stat. Ann 505/2N. This Illinois Statute requires that when a transaction, or negotiations related to a transaction, result in a written contract and the transaction is conducted in a non-English language, the consumer is required to sign the Illinois Interpreter Form.
The IL Interpreter Form comes in two different versions; one version when the borrower uses an interpreter of their own choosing, and a different version when the borrower uses the Lender’s interpreter. The appropriate version of the form will be triggered based on our new field “Interpreter Is Borrower Selected” (Field Index 101219).
The new form will print when:
- Disclosure Package Type = Closing
- Use Spanish Docs? = Yes
- State Code = Illinois
New fields have also been added to support the import of the Interpreter Name (Field Index 101220) and the Relationship of Interpreter to Borrower (Field Index 101221), as required by the form.
Our Illinois Interpreter Form will be in production on February 20, 2016. If you have any questions or concerns about this document, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
