Oregon requires certain information to be disclosed on the first page of the security instrument. Among these items is the requirement prescribed by Or. Rev. Stat. § 205.234 (1)(g):
“For instruments that assign a mortgage or trust deed, the name and address of the assignee mortgagee or assignee trust deed beneficiary.”
Some county recorders in Oregon have interpreted this to mean that the name and address of Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS), as the nominee of the Mortgagee, also needs to be disclosed on the first page of the Security instrument. Consequently, Docutech is making changes to our Oregon security instruments to print MERS information on the first page. The following security instruments will be impacted by this change:
- OR Deed of Trust (Cx346)
- OR Deed of Trust Second (Cx504)
- HELOC Deed of Trust – OR (Cx1370)
- FHA OR Deed of Trust (Cx19395)
