Recently, Gov. Mark Gordon (R) signed into law WY S.F. 0029 (2021), which repeals the Wyoming Uniform Law on Notarial Acts (Wyo. Stat. Ann. §§ 34-26-101 through 34-26-304) and replaces it with a new Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts (Ibid. §§ 32-3-101 through 32-3-131; see https://governor.wyo.gov/media/news-releases/2021-news-releases/2021-bills-signed-into-law and https://www.wyoleg.gov/Legislation/2021/SF0029). A key difference between the two is that the latter authorizes Remote Online Notarizations and Remote Ink Notarizations (commonly known as “RON” and “RIN”), while the former did not.
Wyoming’s Revised Uniform Law will take effect on July 1, 2021.
