The date that is currently generated in the execution section of some of the Louisiana Mortgages (cx327 Conventional, cx485 Second Lien, cx1356 HELOC, and cx15651 Louisiana Housing Second Lien) on or near the last page is pulling the “Closing Date” field, thus allowing the mortgagors to acknowledge that they are agreeing to the terms of the mortgage, in the presence of a notary public (or witnesses), on the date of closing.
It has been decided to substitute the “Closing Date” field with the “Security Instrument Notary Date” field, in order to more accurately reflect that the mortgage is being signed on the same date that the notary public (or witnesses) completes the acknowledgment section, which will make the Louisiana Mortgage consistent with DocuTech’s other security instruments.
These changes will go out the evening of August 31, 2011.
