Document Updates: Affixation Affidavit (Cx43)

We are updating our Affixation Affidavit (Cx43) so it will no longer be checked as an “Other Rider” on the Security Instrument. The document will continue to print in a recordable format, including required margins, but will now be a standalone recordable document rather than as a rider to the Security Instrument.
Following a comprehensive state-by-state review, we determined that the prevailing practice is to record the Affixation Affidavit as a separate instrument. While most jurisdictions permit the Affidavit to be recorded as a rider, we have encountered rejection issues in certain counties that require it to be recorded independently.
This change will be available for testing on Stage & Stage 2 servers and will take effect on March 17, 2026. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Client Support at 1.800.497.3584.
